Goodbye 2012 LoL World Champs TPA

Firstly, I think I should apologize for not updating for such a long time, been pretty busy with my personal stuff. Now, back to my new post, it's gonna be a post about League of Legends btw, I've been really busy, so busy that I just realised TPA Bebe, the last team member of TPA that has gone through season 2 World Championships has retired a month ago. Yes, I feel super outdated, but this is kind of like a post to pay tribute to the former World Champion and AD Carry of TPA. It was some really fond memories for us TPA fans, well, if you know nothing about them winning the 2012 World Championships, here is a lil' recap of the scene, in 2012, GPL ( aka Garena Premier League ) was a newly established league, dedicated to create a pro-gaming environment for League of Legends teams in Asia ( excluding China and S. Korea, for they already have their own local tournaments at that time, Hong Kong? They're nowhere to be seen ), anyway, TPA ( Taipei Assassins ) emerged as the GPL winners and they qualified from the Asian regionals, which will be the LPL, so they secured a place in the group stages and then their incredible journey started off. They qualified from the group stages which was quite a scare for other teams because they have never heard of the GPL, let alone TPA, so they were pretty much like the underdogs/ dark horse of the tournament. Thinking back, they actually had a rocky start, losing to Fanatic and going into the losers' bracket, but they thrived from it and actually went all the way to the finals which was again, a shock for their opponents as they weren't a really famous team at that time, but people started to really have a look at TPA after they managed a romp on one of the favourites, which was the Najin Sword ( *Najin wasn't split up into black and white teams at that time ), then, a tougher challenge stood in front of them, they were facing the Korean regional champions, Azubu Frost ( now they go by the name, CJ - Entus Frost, a change of sponsors, obviously ), which was the huge favourite of the tournament, but TPA proved themselves in the second game, pressuring the Korean team and successfully forcing a surrender from their opponents, then it was a scare for TPA fans as the Koreans managed to get a game back, but all was lost, when they gave away their fourth game, ending the tournament 3-1, and TPA emerged as the S2 World Champions, bringing glory to Asia, and more specifically, Taiwan, they were even called 'The Glory of Taiwan' after being crowned World Champions. But as the Chinese have a saying, everything comes to an end, and so did TPA's unbelievable journey, things started to change when their captain, MisTaKE, accepted a move to their sister team, the Taipei Snipers, not only was he the gank-caller for TPA, he represented their unique team spirit, and when he left, we all felt the change in TPA, though still being held up by their mid-lane powerhouse, Toyz, TPA's new support, Dinter, didn't fit in really well, and all TPA could manage in S3 was Toyz being crowned as the best mid-lane player and TPA, the GPL winter season champions. Then, those old comrades began to leave, top-lane giant Stanley, their dynamic jungler LilBallz, and most importantly, the versatile Toyz. So, it was pretty obvious that the newcomers couldn't replace the old team, with Bebe being the only one left from S2, TPA did badly in the following season, not even managing a World Championship appearance. And then, a month ago, Bebe finally decided to follow in his teammates' footsteps, the seasoned veteran announced his permanent retirement from E-sports, putting an end to TPA's legacy, of course, we still wish him all the best in the future, and we hope to see more of him if it's still possible, in the E-sports pro scene. This is JC, signing off. Goodbye, hope you guys enjoyed this post. Peace out.
